2007 PHOENIX RANCH SYRAH

Situated closer to Carneros than Calistoga, Phoenix Ranch enjoys the cool coastal influence of the San Francisco Bay. Five acres are planted to 3 distinctive clones: Durrell, Syrah Noir, and Estrella River. The Estate Syrah is a harmonious blend of all 3 clones filled with aromas of lavender, boysenberry, black currant, cedar, and tobacco.

Dark purple in color, the Syrah has presence on the palate with a smooth velvety finish. Enjoy now or over the next 4 years.

2009 PHOENIX RANCH VIOGNIER

The North East corner of Phoenix Ranch is home to the Phamily's cherished 600 vines of Viognier. After hand harvesting and whole cluster pressing, the juice is fermented in stainless steel barrels and aged sur lie for 10 months. The stainless steel allows true expression of the varietal character which oak barrels tend to cover up.

The Estate Viognier is elegant with aromatics truly unique to the varietal such as, honeysuckle, white nectarine and peach. The rich texture and long finish leave you begging for another sip!

BECHTHOLD VINEYARD

Amazingly, there is more Cinsault planted in France than Cabernet Sauvignon. Being one of the 13 varieties permitted in Chateauneuf-du-Pape wines, Cinsault has been planted in southern France for centuries. Cinsault is rarely seen bottled on its own, as it tends to produce wines with a lighter or softer profile. Cinsault from the Bechthold Vineyard in Lodi is just the opposite. The head trained, dry farmed vines are almost 130 years old and produce truly unique wines each year.

2010 BECHTHOLD CINSAULT ROSE

2010 Bechthold Cinsault Rose is made by bleeding off juice from the Cinsault fruit, just after destemming. This process allows for more concentration in the red wine and makes a beautiful rose at the same time. Elegant and light, the rose has subtle notes of guava and strawberry with a rounded finish.

In 2003, Mother Nature delivered perfect weather for slow even ripening and development of flavor. The 2003 Syrah is concentrated with aromas of jasmine, rose petal and lavender. On the palate the wine explodes with blueberry, white pepper and bacon. A truly exceptional vintage for Phoenix Ranch.

2002 PHOENIX RANCH SYRAH

2002 marks the first vintage of Phoenix Ranch Syrah. This vintage was produced for family only and has never been sold to the public. The wine is rich in texture and has strong notes of meat, clove, cedar, lavender and blueberry. Always a Phamily favorite!
